Proton proudly presents a renewed brand through a new brand strategy and graphic identity. The new identity reflects the core of Proton while linking to the group’s new values and future ambitions.

“We needed to develop our position and identity to clarify where we come from while giving even more power and direction to those of us who work at Proton and the ambitions we have for the future,” says Emma Ohliw, Marketing and Communications Manager at Proton Group.

At the same time as the Group decided on a new brand strategy, work began on developing a completely new set of values for the entire Group. This extensive project has involved all businesses and companies within Proton Group, with the aim of building a set of values and behaviours that drive the company forward.

Four concrete values

Four new, concrete values were identified and developed by all of Proton’s leaders: Proactive, Team Spirit, Challenge and Collaboration. These values, symbolise the core of Proton and serve as guiding principles for behaviours within the Group.

“We believe that the new values are part of the recipe for achieving our vision and goals,” says Mari Lundqvist, HR Manager at Proton Group.

A strong link to the vision

Proton has developed a new set of values and launched a new brand identity because the Group has set ambitious goals to meet future needs and challenges in a rapidly changing world.

“We strongly believe that strategic and operational work fails without the right attitude and behaviours within the organisation. By living the values and letting them permeate our operations, Proton strives to build a culture characterised by powerful growth, where both our customers and employees grow. Our new brand identity makes it clearer what Proton stands for,” says David Gustafsson, CEO of Proton Group.

A new brand identity – A positive force

The previous red colour has been replaced with a basic monochrome palette with a blue base to create unity and harmony, while accent colours in orange and yellow add warmth and energy. Proton’s new logo, a strong and distinct plus, symbolises the positive force within the company and its drive to make a difference.

“The identity is also fully in line with the new Proton values and vice versa, which really helps us to achieve the group’s vision,” says Emma Ohliw.

The future of Proton

With the new brand identity, Proton is ready to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future. By living up to the new values and continuing to develop as a positive force, Proton aims to double its turnover every ten years with significantly higher profitability.

“It’s an exciting journey that requires the commitment and co-operation of everyone in the company,” says Emma Ohliw.

In conjunction with the launch of a completely new brand identity, Proton is also launching a new website. Read more about the brand and values work on the website, www.protongroup.com.

The Baltic Automotive Components Cluster (BACC), which operates in Lithuania, together with Invest Lithuania, is organising the first international Automotive Industry Forum ’24’ for its sector, which will take place in Vilnius on 16 May.

The capital of Lithuania will be the hub for global automotive professionals and experts to share their experience and insights. They include representatives from car manufacturer Ford, supercar maker Koenigsegg, German automotive parts suppliers Continental and Forvia / Hella, the world’s largest bicycle manufacturer Pon.Bike, the Lithuanian hi-tech group Teltonika, and the national automotive associations of Germany, the United Kingdom and Sweden.

The participants will be welcomed by the Minister of Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė and the Minister of Transport and Communications Marius Skuodis.

Giedrius Valuckas, Chairman of the Board of BACC, says that the automotive industry and service providers operating in Lithuania, together with scientific institutions, are a reliable and integral part of global business and innovation.

“Our cluster is determined to be at the forefront of industry change, contributing to the development of new solutions that meet the needs of today and tomorrow. The first event of its kind in Lithuania is designed to attract the attention of global companies to our country. Traditionally, we would be happy to participate in similar events abroad, but now we are opening the opportunity for the international community to meet in Lithuania, underlining our desire to be a hub for innovation and business collaboration,” says the Chairman of the Board.

According to Mr. Valuckas, the Forum opens up opportunities for business meetings and networking across the mobility sector, from start-ups and technology developers to large multinational corporations. It is a place where you can not only meet key players in the industry, but also make important contacts that can open up new opportunities for collaboration, joint ventures or new business models.

“The Automotive Forum ’24’ will focus on autonomous driving technologies, electric vehicles, sustainable and efficient transport, digitalisation of the industry and other issues. Companies such as Astra, Telesoftas, Elinta Motors, Histeel, Elameta and CIE LT Forge and the others.

“The car today is not only a means of transport, but also a sophisticated device that integrates advanced information technologies and electronic solutions, which allows us to talk about a completely new concept of the vehicle. We are therefore faced with challenges such as the rapid obsolescence of technology, the need for cyber security, the need for new skills in the workforce and the integration of sustainable production processes. At the same time, this opens up enormous opportunities for cluster members, whether they are developers of IT solutions, suppliers of electronic components, or developers of new materials and manufacturing technologies,” stresses the BACC Chairman.

Founded in 2013 and celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, the Baltic Automotive Components Cluster (BACC) consists of more than 20 automotive parts and components manufacturers, service providers and research institutions. Lithuanian automotive companies employ around 15,000 people and have an annual turnover of more than EUR 1 billion. The BACC brings together German, Swedish and Lithuanian capital companies that have been producing auto parts and components for the automotive, agricultural and construction equipment industries for more than 15 years.

“The Automotive Industry Forum’24 will take place on 16 May at the Litexpo Exhibition and Congress Centre during the Balttechnika exhibition.

In a significant stride towards bolstering Europe’s technological infrastructure, Teltonika is rapidly advancing the construction of its cutting-edge printed circuit board (PCB) factory in Vilnius. The 33,000 sq. m. facility, set to be operational in early 2025, represents an effort in a market traditionally dominated by Asian countries. As a symbol of the project’s significance, a time capsule containing a letter to future generations was ceremoniously buried in the foundations of the building.

Teltonika’s ambitious project with a total investment of €143 million, is part of a strategic agreement with the Ministry of Economy and Innovation. The factory aims to redefine the landscape of PCB production in Europe, addressing challenges posed by a shrinking number of producers on the continent.

Arvydas Paukštys, Founder and President of Teltonika, emphasizes the strategic importance of the project, stating, “…This investment will allow us to shorten production lead times, expand intellectual property protection for the technologies we develop, reduce supply chain risks and become independent from third-party political decisions.”

A printed circuit board serves as the foundation for contemporary electronic devices, accommodating a variety of components such as semiconductor chips. Nowadays, it plays an indispensable role in the production of advanced electronics.

The PCB plant is being developed in Liepkalnis, Vilnius. 10 new industrial and administrative buildings will be built in several phases over five years. It is planned to hire around 6,000 employees during this period.
