This week, the international conference “Automotive Supplier Summit @IZB2022” took place in Wolfsburg, Germany and was attended by Darius Lasionis, Executive director of BACC, Arūnas Šarka, Commercial attache in the Embassy of Lithuania in Germany and representatives of „Invest Lithuania“.

The leading theme of this year‘s Automotive Supplier Summit @IZB2022“ was “Rethink Automotive“ and it was based on these pillars:

  • sustainability
  • resilience
  • software.

During the conference, relevant topics such as broken supply chains, the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis and great uncertainty about the future were discussed. Speakers emphasized the importance of further development of electric vehicles, infrastructure development, new software solutions, stabilization of supply chains (searching for alternative suppliers), and implementation of sustainability in Automotive companies.

The Lithuanian delegation had a possibility not only to listen to reports of representatives of the Automotive industry, to visit the exhibition “International Suppliers Fair IZB 2022”, but also to meet Automotive companies and Clusters with serious plans to find common projects with Lithuanian companies of this sector.
